Ms. Sung-Joo Kim awarded the Honorary Doctorate by UAL 2017-08-02

The German luxury brand MCM is proud to announce that its Chief Visionary Officer (Chairperson and owner of the brand), Ms. Sung-Joo Kim, will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the renowned University of the Arts London. The UAL will recognize Ms. Kim’s pioneering achievements as both a businesswoman and a humanitarian who lives by her personal motto: “Succeed to Serve.”



In 2005, Ms. Kim purchased MCM (a German luxury brand, established in 1976 in Munich, Germany) which thus became the first European luxury brand to be managed by an Asian-based organization with global team. Under Ms. Kim’s transformative leadership, MCM has exhibited stunning and consistent year-over-year growth, and was named ranked number 58th largest luxury power house and  also MCM was also ranked one of the world’s top 10 fastest-growing brands by Deloitte’s top 100 luxury brands study in 2016.
